Greetings, and Welcome! Thank you for visiting the website of the Newport News, (VA) Chapter of the Links Incorporated! Our website highlights our accomplishments and hopefully gives you a glimpse into how we are contributing to our community and nationally. Thanks to all of you who have supported our service initiatives and fundraising efforts over the years. And if you are viewing for the first time, a special welcome to new friends and supporters as we continue seeking innovative ways to provide service and pursue friendships during these times of uncertainly.
The Newport News Chapter was established in February 1952 and has provided transformational programming and services in the Tidewater community and beyond for more than 68 years. Our chapter will celebrate 70 years of service and friendship in two short years.
The chapter members are professional, resourceful, and creative women focused on ways to improve the quality of life for others. Our motto “small but mighty” has resulted in the recognition and receipt of National and Area Awards for Best Programming in areas of The Arts and National Trends and Services over the years. We enjoy our work within the community especially with the youth. More recent programming and services efforts include our initiative with Services to Youth – to charter a NSBE Jr. Chapter (STEM).
We have a legacy of leadership to uphold and we are honored to do so! Please continue to review our website to learn more about the Newport News Chapter’s commitment to service in the Tidewater community. Feel free to contact us if you have suggestions and comments to keep our chapter moving forward using this website and during the PANDEMIC!
